Your Willetton Football Club would like to wish all members, supporters, sponsors and volunteers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Your club has been hard at work through the off season and there’s lots of news we want to share with you. Check out this month’s headlines below:
1. Meet the Coach BBQ
With the off-season training under way for the 2020 season, your club will be hosting a BBQ on Wednesday the 11th of December at 7:00pm after that evenings training session.
The BBQ will be held under the veranda near the cricket nets on the main oval. Following the announcement of the new coaching staff for 2020, this BBQ will give everyone, players & supporters, the chance to come down and introduce themselves to the new coaches. This will also give anyone the opportunity to ask questions they may have about the pre-season training commencing on the 13th of January for the upcoming season.
With the announcement of the inaugural women’s team being introduced to the club, any and all female athletes are welcome to come to the event to meet with Helen and Glenn Hunter to find out more information about the team.
Whether you are a supporter, player or anyone who is even slightly interested in being involved with Willetton Football Club in the future, come down and share a snag & a soft drink with some great company. $2 Sausage Sizzle, $1 Soft Drink.

The song has been remastered by Burnside Productions and will be played at home as the teams run out onto the ground and at the end of the game when we win games. Listen to the song below:
4. Pre-Season Day 1 and Registration Day – Monday 13th January 2020
Pre-season training for the 2020 season officially kicks off on Monday the 13th of January 2020 at 5:45pm at our home ground the North Oval, Burrendah Park, Burrendah Boulevard, Willetton WA 6155. If you haven’t got down to any of the off-season training, day one of pre-season is the time to get down and start impressing the coaches. Show them you can play in the highest grade possible. It will also be the first official training session for our women’s team so spread the word and let’s get as many girls down as possible! There will be a registration form to complete and we will have a tablet available to do online registrations. We might even put on a BBQ.
5. Membership Fees Early Payment Discount
Your club appreciates the cost of playing football to members can add up. So, this year we are offering all standard men’s players a discount of $50 on their fees if they pay before round 1. This means if you pay in time your fees will only be $250! If fees are not paid before round 1 however they will revert to the full $300.
The club will continue the tradition of discounting the Colt’s membership fees. This year colts will only have to pay half the standard membership fee. Including an early payment discount if they are paid before round 1 colt’s will only have to pay $125. If fees are not paid before round 1 however they will revert to the full $150.
For the inaugural year of our Women’s team, women will not be required to pay a membership fee however we are sure they will contribute to the club in other ways.
We also appreciate that some players may only be able to play a few games for the club due to things like working FIFO or shift work and to that end we are offering members that play four games or less the ability to pay just $25 per game plus their game day fee. However, if player’s wish to play a fifth game which will make them eligible for finals they will need to pay the full membership fee amount.
We believe the integrated player’s fees will continue to be covered by a Community Tab Grant however if this is not the case we will endeavour to minimise the fee’s as much as possible.
Fees are open for payment now if you want to lock in that early payment discount visit the store here!
