It will also be the first official training session for our women’s team so spread the word and let’s get as many girls down as possible!

There will be a registration form to complete and we will have a tablet available to complete the online registrations as well. Speaking of registrations:
2. 2020 Registrations Open and Transfers Open on 1 February 2020
Registrations for the 2020 season are open and so far we have 31 seniors registered, 8 women registered and 8 Integrated players registered which is an awesome result.
The colts are lagging behind however with only 3 registrations so far so get onto your mates and make sure they are registered for the 2020 season.
If you haven’t received a registration email yet you can follow this link to the sportstg website. If you are having trouble contact email@example.com
Transfers for new players coming from another club will be open as of 1 February 2020.
3. Volunteers Needed Bunnings BBQ 18 January 20 and 15-16 February 20
To help raise funds for your Willetton Football Club we have a Bunnings BBQ booked in for the 18th of January 2020 at the Willetton Bunnings Store. We need as many volunteers as possible to help share the load. It’s just two hours work if we get lots of volunteers. We also have two BBQ’s booked over the weekend of 15 and 16 February.
We need four volunteers for each time slot being:
8:00am to 10:00am
10:00am to 12:00pm
12:00pm to 2:00pm and
2:00pm to 4:00pm
Your club appreciates that sometimes volunteers are just waiting to be tapped on the shoulder and asked to help, unfortunately we don’t know who are. We need you to step up and tell us that you are free and available to assist. The bigger our volunteer base the healthier and stronger the club will be. We are eager to add some strength and diversity to our current group of regular volunteers.

Polo shirts and other merchandise will become available for pre-order throughout the season.

5. Integrated Coach Needed
Your club is still searching for an integrated coach. We would prefer a parent or supporter take on the duties rather than a player having to sacrifice their own game time to coach the team.
Your club is happy to support the right applicant in gaining their Level 1 coaching accreditation.
Submit a written application outlining your suitability to the role of Integrated Coach by email to the club President Perry Kleppe email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
6. Mandurah Training Camp 22 and 23 February 2020
Your club will be hosting a training camp overnight on the 22nd and 23rd of February in Mandurah. Everyone will car pool from the club on Saturday morning before participating in a training session in Mandurah.
We will have a couple of quiet drinks during the evening at a house we will be hiring for the night and it will be a good chance for the seniors to become well acquainted with each other. The cost will be $50 per person and will include the accommodation as well as some drinks.
To register your interest, contact Matt Steacy on Facebook or 0421 901 930. During the training camp it will be expected all players continue to follow the clubs core values, code of conduct and act responsibly.
7. Scratch Matches - March 2020
Your new League coach Troy Douglas is in the process of organising two scratch matches so we can test our skills and fitness towards the end of pre-season. We are currently looking at playing two clubs in March 2020 with a weeks break in between both games. The dates and teams we are playing are subject to change. We will be playing three matches League, Reserves/Thirds and Colt’s. We will also try to organise a women’s scratch match prior to the season commencing. Further information will be released once it become available.
8. Rookie’s Day - March 2020
Your club acknowledges that joining a new team can be daunting so to break down some of the barriers the senior men will be hosting the colt’s and women’s team for Rookies Day during the month of March. The day will be designed so that all the new colt’s and women’s players can get to. There will be plenty of food, drinks, games, music and good times to be had by all.
This event will be free for colt’s and women’s players and a small fee will be charged for the league, reserves and thirds to host the colts and women.
This will be held in between the scratch matches and more details will be made available through a Facebook Event.
9. Umpires and Trainers Needed
In 2020 with the addition of the women’s team we will need to supply Field Umpires each week for three teams being the Thirds, Integrated and Women’s teams.
In order to be a field umpire you must hold a minimum Level 1 AFL Umpiring Accreditation. Field umpires are paid in accordance with Perth Football League Guidelines.
All teams will need to co-ordinate volunteers each week for Team Manager, Runner, Boundary Umpire and Goal Umpire. To be a Boundary Umpire and Goal Umpire you must have reached at least 13 years of age.
If you are able to goal umpire each week or have a little brother or sister that is able to do run the boundary please let the respective teams coach know.
Trainers will be supplied by the club for all teams however we are currently short and need trainers for our reserves, colts, integrated and women’s teams.
In order to be a trainer you are required to be a Level 1 Accredited Sports Trainer. The club is happy to sponsor anyone through the process of obtaining accreditation. The club would appreciate volunteers for the role of trainer however this is traditionally a paid role and remuneration will be provided.
If you can help with any of these duties or know anyone that can for any of the teams please contact email@example.com to register your interest.
